A redesigned product page template that boosted CTA visibility by 3.8× and improved the balance between professional technical needs and real-user storytelling. About me
I’m Tim Knight, a UX/UI designer with a strong focus on human-centred design, accessibility, and creating digital products that deliver real user and business value. I’ve worked across charity, e-commerce, medical, and SaaS contexts, partnering closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to turn research and insight into clear, usable interfaces.
My route into UX was shaped by a background in theatre, which sharpened my ability to observe behaviour, synthesise feedback, and iterate quickly under pressure. That mindset now underpins how I approach research, prototyping, and design decisions. I’m particularly interested in work that balances clarity, inclusivity, and measurable impact.
Alongside my design work, I’m a Local Leader for the Interaction Design Foundation Southampton group. Since taking on the role, my co-leader and I have grown and strengthened the community, moving the group from 10th to 8th in the UK. We organise informal and educational meetups that support knowledge sharing, professional development, and connection across the local UX community.
I’m based in the UK and motivated by opportunities to solve complex problems, improve accessibility, and contribute to products that genuinely help people.
